Yesterday I've attended a concert with Patricia Kopatchinskaja (run to get her Beethoven concerto with Herreweghe), she was playing barfooted and heck, she should ask an additional fee as percussionist!

I personally don't care that much about the exteriors, a beautiful voice is what counts, but then not rarely I'd prefer operas as concertante. I love Signora Bartoli's warmth and passion - on and off stage - not so much her voice.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01550176193355147851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1236652494278313169.post-20242099674902744472010-03-16T06:31:30.643-07:002010-03-16T06:31:30.643-07:00YES!!!

But your blog entry this morning cracked me up! Hilarious and truly funny. As they say in the movies.."Thanks. I needed that!"

(Bartolli drives me nuts with her contortions..definitely off-putting)Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00143049361607082057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1236652494278313169.post-12566184668144667092010-03-14T23:45:16.130-07:002010-03-14T23:45:16.130-07:00You are quite right to be aware of possible facial...You are quite right to be aware of possible facial contortions getting in the way of conveying emotions. There are some singers I can't watch because of this - I recently saw a Clemenza DVD where I often had to look down when the Sesto sang because she looked like a beaver every time she was acting "despair". Maybe all singers should rehearse in front of a mirror?!mamascarlattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04202387219221445872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1236652494278313169.post-18799179049473226642010-03-14T20:12:17.557-07:002010-03-14T20:12:17.557-07:00okay you made me laugh out loud.okay you made me laugh out loud.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
